WHAT SETS US APART

Kitchen Appliance Mart, originally owned by Roger Wharton and AL Webb, first opened its doors in a small storefront on Route 28 in Hyannis in 1977. In 1985, Kitchen Appliance Mart was purchased by siblings John, Kassie, and Kevin Gralton of Cape Cod and re-named KAM Appliances. As teenagers living in Louisville, KY their father worked for GE Appliances and gave them their first taste of the appliance business.

In 1991, KAM Appliances moved to 221 Yarmouth Rd, Hyannis. Over the 30 years in this location, KAM grew to one of the largest appliance businesses in the Northeast. In January 2022, due to eminent domain, KAM moved to a new location on Aggregate Way, Hyannis. This gave the family a chance to design and build an expansive 20,000 square foot appliance showroom with beautiful live kitchens and many featured displays. It is now considered one of the largest and most impressive showrooms in New England.

KAM Appliances opened a showroom in Hanover, MA in September 2001 allowing the family-run business to expand to the South Shore and Boston. In 2009, KAM expanded to Nantucket with a storefront on Boynton Lane.

Under the guidance of the Gralton siblings, the company has grown and expanded from a small store to a trusted appliance retailer with expert, personalized service from sales and delivery to installation and service, serving Cape Cod, Nantucket, and the South Shore. KAM Appliances is honored to be at the heart of your home!

KAM Appliances proudly supports Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod by donating all appliances for every home. Each build receives a brand-new dishwasher, range, refrigerator, washer and dryer. KAM also donates any unsellable but working appliances (dents/dings) to Habitat Cape Cod’s two ReStore locations in Falmouth and Yarmouth, where they are sold to the public at a discount. Funds raised from the sale of these donated items help Habitat Cape Cod continue its affordable home building program enabling Cape Cod families to remain a vital part of our community.
